We all wish that we the path toward getting better was clear. Wouldn’t it just be great if every skill came with an exp bar? You could be tracked. And every skill could be progressively advanced?

But instead, the world acts more like boss fights, when the enemy is randomized, and your opportunity to prove yourself comes weather you are expecting it or not.

The progression really comes from preparing and training yourself, to be able to handle the important things that come at you. And really to ensure we progress, we need to make sure we throw adequate challenges at yourself.

Keeping things safe and low risk. To instead throw irrelevant tasks at yourself instead of the challenging, uncomfortable ones. That prevents you from being able to test yourself and progress.

If you really want to get better. If you want to make perceivable progress. You need to take a mirror, and challenge yourself.
