Day 44 (Writing Everyday)

In business, predictability and trust is essential. When a task needs to get done, it is essential that a timeline is given and followed. While it is great to be ambitious, it is actually disastrous if failed timelines push back even more timelines.

Appropriately planning items is a very difficult skill. But with the right amount of foresight, a bit of planning, better estimates can be made.

Showing what needs to be done. How long it will take. And smoothly reaching that goal is great if you are able to achieve it. We all wish we can do more. That everything will be smooth sailing, and that you’ll do an amazing job. You want to be able to hit your ambitious deadlines ahead of time. Because that would mean you are getting better and better.

But being cognizant of exactly how long it will take. Knowing what you are capable of is an essential skill for growth and progress. When planning deadlines, add appropriate time buffers.

Things will go wrong. And things will be difficult. By adding in those buffers, you can make things more predictable.

Set goals. Plan. And make sure you deliver. And with that, you can build more trust, grow more, and deliver.

With Love,

Jeffo
